1. 4-PIN MICRO CONNECTION
2. VOLUME OFF / MAX
Turn the knob clockwise to turn the transceiver on and to adjust the desired audio level.
3. SQUELCH CONTROL
This switch is used to eliminate background noise when listening through the receiver, which can be annoying when there is no transmission. To use this feature, turn the switch all the way to the left, then turn it to the right slowly until the background noise is just barely eliminated. Additional clockwise rotation will increase the threshold level that a signal must pass in order to be heard. Only a strong signal will be heard at a maximum clockwise setting. In the AUTO position, the automatic squelch control will be activated.
4. AM-FM MODE
Allows you to select FM or AM mode.
5 and 6. CHANNEL SELECTION
These buttons allow you to go up and down the channels.
7. CHANNEL DISPLAY SCREEN
The screen indicates the current channel display.
8 and 9 TX/RX LED LIGHT
The red LED indicates that the unit is in transmission mode.
The green LED indicates that the unit is in receive mode.
10. SWITCH 9/CH/19
In the CH 9 position: Allows you to listen to channel 9
In CH position: allows you to listen and choose any channel
In position 19: allows you to listen to channel 19
11. POWER CABLE
13.8 VDC power cord with built-in fuse. The power cord supplied with the radio has a black and red wire. Black goes to negative and red goes to positive .
12. EXTERNAL SPEAKER CONNECTION
This jack accepts external speakers from 4 to 8 ohms and 5 watts of power.
When the external speaker is connected to this jack, the internal speaker will be disabled.
13. ANTENNA
This jack accepts 50 ohm coaxial cable with a PL-259 type connector.
