 The Yaesu FTDX-3000 HF/50 MHz transceivers are members of the high performance YAESU FT DX series. The FT DX 3000 receivers exhibit the phenomenal multi-signal characteristics first demonstrated in the FT DX 5000.

 With efficient dimensions of just 14.4 x 4.5 x 12.3 inches (W x H x D) and weighing just 22 pounds, the FT DX 3000 transceivers are high-performance radios for all 160-band amateur radio. to 6 meters in SSB / CW / FM / AM and digital modes. General coverage reception is 30 kHz to 56 MHz.

 Various connections are available for RTTY, SSTV, PSK31, JT and other digital modes. The RF amplifier produces a clean 100 watt transmit signal (some modes less).

 High speed auto coupler included. It has a large capacity 100 channel memory; the adjustment data is automatically memorized to reduce the adjustment time when changing the frequency. These tuners can handle a mismatch of up to 3:1.

 A USB input included for firmware updates. This input can also facilitate CAT, USB AUDIO IN/OUT, and USB TX Control (PTT, KEY, and FSK).

 A high-contrast 4.3-inch TFT LCD color screen provides a convenient view of the radio's working functions. The High Speed Spectrum Scoping feature has a bandwidth of: 20 kHz, 50 kHz, 100 kHz, 200 kHz, 500 kHz, or 1 MHz. The TX and RX markers appear during the "split" operation.

 Its powerful narrow glass filter enhances the receiver's multi-signal characteristics. A 3 kHz filter greatly improves SSB signal reception during multi-adjacent signal conditions. 600 Hz filters provide the best CW reception environment when adjacent signals may affect desired signal reception.

 

 They include a High-Q IF Notch circuit that has attenuation characteristics of 70dB or more. Effective removal of a strong beat signal is easily achieved. Interfering signals can be attenuated, while minimizing the impact on the desired wanted signal.

 Digital Notch Filer (DNF) is a function that automatically tracks interfering heterodyne signals, even if there is more than one, and even if the beat frequency changes over time. This is effective in eliminating interfering signals.

 In CW mode, the APF (Audio Peak Filter) function has an audio peak at the signal frequency; this improves the S/N and increases the readability of the CW signal. The APF maximum frequency can be finely tuned.

 The FT DX 3000's modulation circuitry uses the digital variation operational type of modulation, which creates ideal high-quality broadcast audio. The parametric equalizer can alter the low, mid and high part of the audio separately. 

 The SSB speech processor uses IF digital signal processing to increase the intelligibility of the transmitted signal during weak signal congestion conditions. The DSP increases the average power of important components of the speech spectrum and reduces the TX power of less significant components.

 Three antenna connectors are available on the FT DX 3000 rear panels. Antenna connection selections memorized and recalled when changing bands. The "ANT 3" input can be configured for "RX Only" antenna.

 An "RX out" connector on the rear panel of the FT DX 3000 accesses signals from the receiver's RF amplifier. The signal can be sent to an external receiver to receive simultaneously in band.
